 HealthLine:  was developed in by physicians and maintained by a team of medical informatics specialists.  Includes a terminology database of over one million medical terms and consumer-friendly synonyms, as well as 70,000 medical concepts that include diseases, conditions, causes, symptoms, diagnoses, treatments and other medically relevant attributes.

 Kidshealth:  was created by Nemours Foundation’s Center for children’s health media.  Content is reviewed on a regular basis and the site is divided into sections for children, teens, and parents. 

 Familydoctor.org:  sponsored by the American Family of Family Physicians

 Food Drug and Health Information

 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:  a website containing information on such topics as diseases and conditions, emergency preparedness and response, healthy living, environmental health and more.

 Rhode Island Department of Health:  sponsored by the Department of Communicable diseases, provides a listing of diseases.
