The Puzzle of Napoleon

You've been divided into six groups.  Each group has been assigned a different puzzle piece to research about Napoleon.  

"Monster of Europe" to "Hero of France"

You can research your topic using the nonfiction books (check biographies and books on France) or general encyclopedias.

World Book Online - Start your research here to get some basic information about your topic.  (Please ask your librarian for your Login ID and Password.)

Facts On File - click into Modern World History online database and the click on "Biographies".  Type in Napoleon Bonarparte as your search term.  Make sure you then click on the correct Napoleon listed.  Ask Mrs. Samples for password information for Facts on File.

Facts for Learning - once you are into the website, click Grades 5 and above.  Type in Napoleon Bonaparte as your search term.

Napoleon:  The Man and the Myth - sponsored by PBS.org contains information on Napoleon through four subtopic contrasts;  Youth and Family Life, Tyrant or Hero, Self-Made Myth, and Perspectives on Napoleon.

The Napoleon Series - With over 800 pages of content, it is strongly recommended that visitors use the SEARCH option to locate the information they want in the shortest amount of time.  You might also want to check the FAQs to see if your topic is listed.  There is excellent information on the Code of Napoleon here.
