Today you are beginning your research on the different drug categories.  What are they?  What are their effects?  What are some examples of each category?  ....  Check out the sites below to help you complete this assignment.

The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information:  Alcohol & Drug Facts  - was created  by SAMHSA (An Agency of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services).

NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) - Type your term into the search screen.  For individual drugs...you can also go right to the Information on Common Drugs of Abuse and then check out the articles on your topic.

MedlinePlus Health Information provides links to information on  many substance abuse topics.  Use the search option.

DEA U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency ... Use the search option and type in the name of your drug.  When you get a list of articles go directly into the one that begins " DEA Briefs & Background, Drugs and Drug Abuse, Drug Descriptions, _________"
