Family Living: Reproduction
Your assignment is to compare human reproduction to mammal reproduction. Once you have selected a mammal you are ready to begin your research.
** Consult World Book Online as well as the print encyclopedias first. Ask your librarian for the login and password information. You will want to search by the name of the particular animal you've chosen, such as "giraffe" or "lion".
You will also want to look for terms in the article: "the life of a ...," "reproduction," "family life."**Check the LVMS South Library OPAC (only available in school)
Look for books on your selected mammal. You can also browse the shelves. The 599s are where you will find wild animals. Domesticated animals are located in the 636s.**Use the selected print resources on display in the library as well as additional Internet sites listed below:
- Animal Diversity Web from The University of Michigan Museum of Zoology.
- Animal Zoo's Animal Research Desk: select the volume containing your animal (just like the print encyclopedias) to begin your research.
