INVENT AMERICA! has been helping kids learn to
create and think outside the box for more than 17 years! INVENT
AMERICA! is a nonprofit K-8 education program, launched in 1987, that helps
children develop creative thinking and problem solving skills through a fun,
unique and proven learning tool-- inventing!
Follow the "Nine Steps to Inventing"....
1. Begin an Inventor's Log. (View The Edison Papers at the Rutger's Library)
2. Use your imagination to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!
3. Look for problems to solve. Problems and needs are invitations to invent! For starters, check the Idea Wishlist and the other resources at The Great Ideafinder.
4. Plan your invention.
5. Test and research to make sure your idea will work. Read about inventions and the inventors who created them.
