this is  portal to over 100 interactive java-based activities to help students improve their math skills.

Here is one for the Everyday math/Connected Math concepts.  This site focuses on helping students learn the importance of math in everyday life as well as improving math skills.  Provides a "think about this" section that will improve critical thinking skills.

This site was part of the thinkquest competition which recognizes websites created by students.  It includes prealgebra, algebra, geometry, algebra II, precalculus, and calculus.  One bonus is the formula database that will offer students a quick reference during homework sessions.

sponsored by the history channel, this site includes video clips about the various Mexican celebrations, the ancient and Mayan and Aztec cultures, as well as maps and facts about this country.

sponsored by National Georgraphic, students can take a geography quiz and then access resources (3D globe, quizzes, map games etc.)  Lesson plans are available for teachers.
